Noelia Rodríguez-Quiñones concentrates her practice in immigration law. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association.
Ms. Rodríguez’s interest in serving immigrant communities began with her experience as a member of the Puerto Rican diaspora. As a law student, her culture and language allowed her to easily connect with Spanish-speaking immigrants. During her years in law school and upon graduation, Ms. Rodríguez had the honor and privilege of working on behalf of farmworkers, detainees, families, and individuals who were in need of her legal assistance.
Ms. Rodríguez’s background is mostly in public interest law. As a law student, she spent a summer clerking for Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE) in Toledo, Ohio, where she did outreach work in remote areas of Ohio, educating migrant farmworkers about their rights and doing intakes for those who needed legal representation or assistance in a variety of matters. Ms. Rodríguez also interned for the National Immigrant Justice Center’s Detention Project, as well as for a reputable Chicago-based immigration law firm, before joining Nancy M Vizer PC as an associate attorney.
As an immigration attorney licensed in Illinois, Ms. Rodríguez is authorized to represent clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and the Immigration Court anywhere in the United States. Ms. Rodríguez is also admitted to the General Bar for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Like Ms. Vizer, she is able to represent clients in various locations by use of e-mail, telephone, and fax.
Ms. Rodríguez received a B.A. cum laude in Psychology from Carleton College, and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is a native Spanish speaker.
